Sprout is a part-time morning Christian preschool in Columbia, MO. We offer hands-on learning for children ages 2 to 5 from 8:30AM-12:30PM daily. Founded and led by an early childhood degreed educator with over 20 years of experience. We have built a trusted reputation since 2012. Our commitment to nurturing young learners hearts and minds makes us a valued part of the local preschool community.

Educational Philosophy

We recognize that every child is unique, and early childhood development is the cornerstone of lifelong learning, behavior, and health. Our preschool philosophy supports the interconnected nature of development, fostering children’s natural curiosity through an integrated, play-based approach. Growth is encouraged by providing opportunities to practice new skills and engage with challenges just beyond current abilities. Understanding that children develop and learn at different paces, we create a safe, supportive environment where each child feels valued and loved. Sprout offers a rich learning setting filled with materials for exploration, guided by a responsive curriculum that spans science, math, social studies, literacy, arts, movement, and the Bible—preparing every child for a successful transition to kindergarten.

Our teachers and their philosophies are important to Sprout Academy! 
You can feel confident your child will be taught in a loving, Christian, classroom by educated teachers with years of experience in Early Childhood Education. Our staff are consistent, trustworthy and respected in the community. The teachers you meet at the beginning of the school year will be with your child all year! 

We provide daily Bible Lessons emphasizing God’s love (John 3:16) throughout the curriculum. Children learn that they are uniquely created by God (Colossians 1:16) with a distinct purpose and that He desires a personal relationship with each of them.
